    Hi all,

Sorry if this has been asked already - I did do a search but could only find situations where it stayed downclocked. My issue is that my GPU thinks it is on battery and acts downclocked if I turn the laptop on and the power is already plugged in. If I unplug the power and then plug back in again it goes back to normal.

This has only just started happening in the last couple of days or so but was wondering if anyone had a similar issue and how to fix it?

    Thanks

Never had that issue. Maybe new software/update or app installed recently is conflicting with it? Try to restore back to the point it last worked. If not maybe a clean Windows restore. If it still doesn't work then it could be a bad AC power adapter. Dell's AC adapters are known to be really finicky when it comes to its own id chip being recognize.

Maybe desktop mode is the culprit here?

Thank you both! Desktop mode was something that I enabled recently actually so tried disabling it and it looks like it fixed it!!
