    Hello,

So yesterday night my M17x ate a double espresso to the touchpad and the keyboard. I instantly flipped it and turned it over, remover battery and cleaned it best I could.

The good news is right now everything seems to be working properly expect some lighting around the track pad.

I only opened the back on the comp and cleaned that area off - I did not do a full disassembly and clean.

The keyboard kind of smells like coffee still but everything works as far as I can tell.

The question I have is should I disassemble and clean the whole thing to be safe or is it save to just leave it the way it is now>

For a second, I was afraid you were about to mention a specific content from GTA San Andreas.

If I were you I would remove the keyboard and mouse pad panel and check for any sign of leakage down there. Liquid travels fast!

Open it up and clean every apart with alcohol, let it dry and reassemble. This is what I would do.

Good reflex of turning it off and dry it before using it.

I am really obsessive about keeping drinks away from my laptop. I think part of me would die on the inside if I ever spilled anything on it.
