I just got the new a17 a week ago and I wanna add one more SSD into it, the question is, it will void my warranty from dell?
By the way, my a17 came with the r9 290x video card but it seem like not many people like that video card in here.. Please tell me what is wrong with it?

No. Dell just won't cover your SSD, but everything else is fine.

The main gripe about the card is probably AMD's driver support. Then crossfire for the 18 guys.

Thanks for the reply, it will be a better driver come out for that card right?

There's nothing wrong with the r9 290x, it is just a rebrand of the 8970m. I've got the latest catalyst drivers running and my performance is just fine.

Just to let you know, I am over clocked on mine to 1000 MHz and up 50 MHz on memory clock and I see about an 11% performance increase

Maybe that's why the 870m are better but cost the same as the r9 290x?

Maybe. I was able to get my configuration with the r9 much cheaper than the 780 or any of the 800 series so that's why I decided on it. I'm happy and especially with the new drivers straight from AMD, and OC, my performance is on par with Nvidia.

So the new driver from the AMD website is better than the one came with dell?

Absolutely...but, it will rename your card to the HD8970M.
