Doesn't look like a bad price,

but I'm just used to buying used laptops.. so can't really be of help.

Any UK people here to comment on the price?

As a US person, I really can't tell..

Whatever you do, don't settle for the WXGA screen - go for the 1200P RGB LED! You won't regret it. The rest is fine.

The difference is huge. IMHO, with a WXGA screen it's a total waste of time and money to buy AW. It's like buying a Porsche with a Ford's chassis. You don't wanna make that mistake, trust me!

You could drop the processor down to the 720qm and then upgrade the screen because the two processors perform similar and the price difference is the same as the difference between your current screen and the 1200p one.

^^ I'd drop everything down including the blue ray, just to get that screen.

I agree with Aikimox. Do what you've got to do to get the better screen. Lose the blu-ray or go with a single 250GB HDD or something. Having all that graphical horsepower with that crappy screen is a bad idea. My two cents.

No it won't affect performance... infact due to the lower native resolution and therefore lower gpu strain you will see better fps than those with the 1200p screen. However things won't look as nice... You could always just tell them you want to change it... as it's not in production yet i'm sure they'll let you.
