I need help to minimize the contact the laptop screen makes with the keyboard when traveling, since the small vertical black cushions to the left and right of the screen will be pushed in over time after closing it and opening it multiple times, not to mention it will be most likely squished by the bags the laptop is carried in.

I am thinking of buying a case specifically designed to cause minimal pressure on the screen because of this, and Tragus has a great solution to this, but will the following work, too?

Buy a keyboard protector (Will only have it on the keyboard when closed and in a bag/case)

    Buy a screen protector

Buy a thin mouse mat (like the Razer Kabuto) and use it as a screen protector

    Thank you for the help~

I measured my laptop and got one of those cut to fit. It covers the keyboard perfectly while the laptop is closed, and doubles as a cloth for the screen.

By the way (from the first link) does the cold feet work on the Alienware?

Ya know I'm not sure. I have some 3d printers that I was planing to use to make some extended feet for mine when I game on it. They look like there just suction cupped so you would have to mount them more towards the middle on the R3 since the fan ducts take up the left and right of the bottom.

As for the cloth I'm totally satisfied Iv gotten there stuff in the past and its good quality. Even made here in the states, which these days seems to be a rarity.
