    Greetings all:

I am hoping to get some advice/direction with my new AW laptop AW17R4-4554SLV purchased at BB.

Im looking to remove as much bloatware/drivers/software etc from the machine before gaming. I have a MBP to use for all else, so I intend to remove any unnecessary Microsoft software as well, such as Office360/OneDrive.

Could anyone tell me what I can safely remove to make things run as clean as possible. I read somewhere, and I cant recall, that I could remove the AW graphics driver because the machine has the Nvidia 1070 w/driver installed?

Pardon my ignorance but I haven't had a WIndows machine since XP so I really feel a bit lost.....

    My thanks!

Best way is a clean install of the OS, but a newbee can mess up drivers that way

If you are on an SSD, disabling the extra stuff you don't want on startup should be enough.

Hit CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to bring up task manager. The fourth tab should be "Startup". It will have a list of programs that launch when you start your computer.

    Disable:
    MicrosoftOneDrive
    KillerNetworkManager software
Itunes extra crap if you installed Itunes
    Creative UpdReg
    Nvidia Capture Server Proxy
    365 "buy me crap"
... Anything else that isn't nessisary
