    Hi!, I am thinking of getting m17x r3 with amd 6990m.

    How is the performance of the video card? I did read through a few benchmark thread of amd 6990m, but i am getting more confuse. (This is my first time buying a gaming laptop, thus i am not very at good in interpreting those score.)

    1)Is the 6990m on par with gtx 580?

    2)Can 6990m use the amd site driver or just the dell driver?

    3)I read from some thread saying that some program could not recognize the 6990m, is it still the case up to now?

    4)Any issue I should be acknowledge before getting amd 6990m?

    5)Any other issue/problem of M17x but not related to amd 6990m I should be aware of?

    1 Yes.
    2 Yes.
    3 Not really. They're irrelevant by now.
    4 You will have to uninstall and install new drivers alot. Just keep note newest drivers doesn't always mean the best.
    5 Nothing major.
