Ok guys, I'm new to the M17x section of NBR but hoping to become a bit more of a regular. I will most likely by acquiring an M17xR2 in the very near future and I am hoping I could get some input from 'the professionals' about upgrading the CPU ;)

I will be upgrading from a 720QM to an XM series, which I gather is quite a substantial and worthwhile upgrade. I was wondering whether I could get some input of the best and most reliable places that I could purchase either an 920XM or 940XM and what sort of price I'll be looking at. I need something that'll ship down under (to Australia) as well.

Also, if someone could point me towards a helpful guide of replacing the CPU I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Bro, look no further than ShirleyFu...100% positive feedback rating...and is willing to negotiate price (never pay posted price)

Myself and another member alienwolf just bought core i7 2820's from Shirley...shipped same day, and we both got it for $270 shipped.

Price wise, you're looking at about $260 US or less (if you're gonna shop at Shirley's...use the make an offer button :D)

Here is the link for 920xm

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll check them out.

EDIT: Is there much of a difference between the ES and OEM models apart from the price?

Haha, I've always loved puppies, but not a $200 love. I'll probably go with the ES that Slick linked me to. Thanks guys!
