Been reading some tweaking and optimisation techniques to boost SSD performances and one thing it recommended was disabling the page file - SSD performance is such that, if you have sufficient RAM, you just don't need it.

However it caveated it with the limitation that if you run out of system memory, your machine is likely to crash.

So the m17x I've specced is 4gb, ample for most things I'll be doing, but now I'm planning ahead to get additional RAM. Thinking 2x4gb - does anyone have any recommendations? Doesn't have to be blisteringly fast OC stuff, it's going to be paired with the stock dell ones which will hold it back somewhat anyway. Solid, reliable, not a turkey are all attributes I'm looking for :)

my god that's cheap, considering how much dell wants for 8gb it's scandalous.
shouldn't be SO surprised I guess, but still. That's massively cheaper.

Yeah. Never buy hard drives or RAM from Dell/AW. They are waaaaaaaay overpriced. Any compnents you can do yourself will always be cheaper.
