Hi new here, tried searching for a similar problem but none found on this forum OR google.
I noticed my keyboard isnt all that bright and is pretty dull regardless of what colours used.
So, in the command centre it says "Dim lighting zones"
I tried dimming them and un dimming them but no difference. Once i click it does nothing whatsoever. I have all latest drivers etc. Any fix?

Hello, sufy, i have a few questions for you:

Have you tried a power drain?
Put everything back together, boot Windows, create a new AlienFX theme and apply it.

What makes you think the lights are not how they supposed to be?
What Command Center version are you on? And here i would like to say not to install an older version than the one you're currently on, newer is ok.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I havn't tried a power drain, i will try it just now. I was also thinking, maybe its just the way it is. But then again, why doesnt it change anything when i click dim or not?

I am also on the latest version of command centre :)

Will try the power drain though and get back to you.
    Thnks again :)

Alternatively, you can create an advanced theme and choose the "pulsate" option for different zones. This will basically switch from full brightness thru dim and off then repeat cycle.

Try it and see if you can see the difference.

Hey, just tried a full power drain just like you said, then applied a completely new theme, but no luck :(

I also tried clicking dim and still never made a difference. Is your m17x dull?

Don't be sad, without seeing it before me i tend to think that's the way it's supposed to be and that dimming the lights doesn't work.

I don't consider mine dull, but i also owned many Alinware systems thru the years and always thought the SMD LEDs brightness is perfect.

I don't think so until you are sure you're actually facing an issue.
