    Hello everyone!

    I am using m17x R1

    CPU is Core2Duo 2.8GHz

    GPU is GTX 280m SLI

When I am playing Cities XL 2011, the whole computer goes crazy!

The keyboard and anywhere with lighting changes color by themselves every few seconds! The color they pick seemed to be random and the intervals between color changes is random too.

Is anyone playing cities xl experiencing the same problem?
Does this crazy color switch affects performance?

    Thank you guys!

I believe Cities XL(I don't play it) is one of the games that support Alien FX like Dark Void etc.
There's a thread about games that support it in the Alienware forum and I think this one is on the list, check it out ;)

    Hey thanks for replying.
Just saying that alienfx does not actt like it is being controlled or anything like that: it picks a random color every few seconds and that is annoying!

BTW, the alienfx should not use up much of the system performance even while it is flickering... theoretically, right?

Yes,it is one of the games that support AlienFX,see HERE for list. So don't worry.
If it bothers you, just turn it off ( Fn+F11 ).
