    Hi,
Does any one have a guide on how to clean the cooling fans on a M17X10 ?
I am having trouble getting access to the fan on right side, the one in the middle is no problem.

m17x10? Not sure where you got that model number, probably a newegg or amazon thing. But if you have a R1/R2, the right side fans is only accessible if you remove the graphics card. To get to that, you need to remove the top power button panel, and the keyboard.

    M17X10 is the R2 :)

To access Video cards Fans you have to remove the keyboard and the videocards. Wich kind of difficulty are you having?

    Good to know.

Don't forget he has to remove the center control cover, without damaging the ribbon cable.

Hello, Peter, to access the GPU fans you'll need to do some disassembling.

I advise you to read the manual first and watch these two videos (the laptop is a M17x but you'll find that they are very similar and disassembly procedure is the same):
M17x Teardown Video1 of 2 **READ SAFETY PRECAUTIONS PRIOR TO REPLACING PARTS** (Official Video) - YouTube

Thank you very much :), the videos was exactly what I need, and you are right, it is a lot off disassembling, but with the videos I will go ahead.

    Regards Peter.
