So I did a fresh install of windows the other day and I'm having nothing but issues with alienfx. I installed the newest version and when I select "go dark" the media bar and touchpad lights do not turn off, everything else does. So I reformatted and installed the old alienfx drivers and it does the same thing. I can select the black theme and the lights turn off, but not on go dark. I also can not change the power button light either.
Anyone have any weird issues like this?

Try install window sp1 first if you dont already have it, then install all the drivers.

I had the same problem initially. I then realized you must uncheck "Keep Status Zones On During Go Dark" while the lights are on and then click "Go Dark". Have you tried that? Also, if you're having problems with the theme, try creating a new theme from scratch. If colors do not change when you select them, you can try and double-click them (the colors) -- sometimes that helps, at least for me it does when some colors seem to get "stuck" for whatever reason.

Wow thanks for the help CaveBear, that was it. I feel retarded, but I never saw that before. I appreciate the help, +rep

Thanks for the help Iman123 as well, I had SP1 slipstreamed onto my windows install already though.
