Did a clean install of Windows 7 and upgraded to 8 than 8.1, When installing 7 deleted all the partitions as asked in the guide, now i am not sure how to recover it so i can set a back up using AlienRespawn

First of all if you just installed 8.1 and did not spend too much time personalising it, I would do a clean install of Windows 8.1 preferably or Windows 8. Then you will need the updated version of Alienrepawn from the link below:
    http://www.alienrespawn.com/en-us/Index2.html

When you launch it for the first time, Alienrespawn will take ages to prepare the system. You will be offered to create the recovery media when it is done. ar.gif

I have the updated Alienrespawn and all the updated drivers, however when i go on to create the recovery media it says that the recovery location is missing, 1.PNG
So not sure what else i can exactly do.

Try uninstalling Alienrespawn and downloading the newest version 1.7.1.0

Still, did you try to uninstall it, restart the PC and install it again?

That sorta did the trick, it still has the location missing prompt, however, now there is a recovery partition.

I'm glad you were able to sort it out with that. Hopefully it'll work fine when you need to use it. BTW just sent you a PM.
