    Hey guys,

I have a friend whose Alienware 17" 2013 ver DC Connector is broken. How easy is it to replace it? And does it require soldering?

Looking at pictures of the motherboard it looks like it's on a cable on the new 17 instead of being soldered like the previous gen. Unfortunately however I cannot find anywhere selling the DC jack cable assembly so you'll need to find the correct jack and solder it onto the existing cable and hope the existing cable isnt damaged!

Exactly this, if the system is in warranty we can replace the board.
