Battery problem mostly is what I'm guessing ? Try to remove the battery and then use. I had my Simplo battery die in my Alienware after 3 years. I used Desktop Mode for battery but it did not help much. Maybe I should have charged it every month or such by cycling to at-least 1/2 it's full capacity.

If it still happens without battery then you have to test with a different PSU, your GPU temps are basic. 60C is nothing, if it would be north of 80s then 980M Blackscreening issue due to missing MOSFETs (which my 980M has and I didn't get the required vrm components soldered on, as It was always in use. Maybe sometime now I will get it done, it gets annoying in some high tessellation games like Hard Reset)

Next would be if you have a 60Hz panel then remove the GPU and test it.

Sounds like a vrm issue to me. Your computer maybe shutting down to protect itself from vrm overheating. Open up your laptop and remove the heatsink and reseat it and see if any pads are not properly seated on the heatsink. Could also be a bad plug.

I think it might be psu at this point. You should try checking vrm thermals while gaming first before you go on that. Check your memory thermals too sometimes that could be an issue as well. These temps are not normally warned about. Use hwinfo to do this.

if it has memory sticks and it doesnt power on. try removing all drives and testing with 1 stick of memory at a time. Use only the AC power as the battery from age shouldnt hold a charge.

Still could be a bad power supply or do you have an overclock on it? Last thing to check also bad memory or ssd
