    Just want to share this little success story with someone who upgraded their 17 R1's GPU from an R9 m290x to a W7170m (essentially an R9 m295x/R9m390x). Seems like it's plug-and-play and runs well, but there is a problem with the fan controller (need to use HWINFO to fix it).
