I bought a Display Model 17 r3. Too long ago to take it back. All the ports work on the laptop with the exception of the thunderbolt typec port. I cant say for sure if the thunderbolt 3 parts works but I do know if i plug in a usb c dock to usb/hdmi nothing happens. I used my usbc type to usb 2/3 adapater that came with my samsung phone and plugged a flash drive in and then into the thunderbolt port and again nothing happened. No sound not additional devices detected. Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem? I checked there are no unknow devices in device manager. I did wipe the whole system and install windows 10 pro on it. but i got all the drivers and chipset drivers and firmware updates from dells website including the new just out bios. Some site says that the bios of dells should have a thunderbolt option to turn it on or off but i dont see anything there about that.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks in advance.
