    Hello,

I am having a strange issue where my AW17 will wake itself up from sleep. Using the powercfg commands it says it is due to "ACPI Lid" (but I did not open the lid). I have tried both with and without my mouse plugged in. It always seems to happen after around 30 minutes and coincides with two other events in event manager detailed below:

Event 18 BTHUSB - Windows cannot store Bluetooth authentication codes (link keys) on the local adapter. Bluetooth keyboards might not work in the system BIOS during startup.
Event 1 Kernal-General - The system time has changed to ‎2013‎-‎11‎-‎06T14:43:31.500000000Z from ‎2013‎-‎11‎-‎06T14:13:14.760546600Z.

Change Reason: System time synchronized with the hardware clock.

I also checked task scheduler and time synchronisation is not set to wake up the computer and all wake timers are disabled in power management.

    Any ideas!?

Never looked into it. But my r3 does wake up by itself sometimes when I put it to sleep too.

Could be a faulty ACPI lid driver. Try uninstalling it from device manager ~ it should be listed under system devices. Excuse me if I'm wrong I'm on my mac at the moment.

Thank you I will try that. If I did uninstall the lid - how would it reinstall?

Is it just the NVIDIA driver or also the intel one? If I install both should I install the intel one and then the nvidia one to maintain optimus? I have tried uninstalling the lid just going to put it to sleep now to see if it was that then do the video drivers if not

Uninstall nvidia driver then clean install the nvidia. You only uninstall intel if you want to wipe everything out. Then you install the intel driver first then nvidia.

I did some more digging today - the computer will go to sleep, then after 30 minutes it will wake up (my usb mouse will not turn on), sleep then it will wake up again and my usb mouse will turn on and it will not sleep. It made me think it may be something to do with Rapid Start not working correctly as that is set to go into deep sleep after 30 minutes (not sure why as I thought I had changed it to 2 hours). Can somebody post the correct rapid start program to install please?

EDIT : This is the exact problem I am having http://www.alienwarearena.com/forum...ning-on-when-closed-intel-rapid-start-maybe-/

I have also narrowed it down to only a lid close. When I click sleep in the windows menu it sleeps and then goes into the intel rapid start S4 state absolutely fine
