    Alienware 17 r5 770m to 870m upgrade

    So my 770 burned out and i couldn't find the same one so i settled for an 870. Now i cant get it running can anyone link me the correct driver and inf files thank you.

    if you talked to woodzstack you could have gotten it for about $600. the 800m series is considered to the crappiest series and the 900m is a bit better.

    i had a budget of 400$ :/ im a student and these m cards are really expensive. Would you say that the 870 is worse than the 770?That crappy?

    the thermal throttling issues of the 880m really hurt the reputation of the 800m cards and many people went with the 900m cards instead.

    Maybe a Gtx780m if you can get it cheap. You need also an 3 pipes heatsink.
