    Hi,

I have Alienware 17 with GTX 780. I just bought battlefield 4 and when i play it on Ultra settings i get very very low fps and the game is hanging alot. I tried switching between the graphics and i still get the same result. What can be the problem here ?

Well. I just downloaded official driver from nvidia and installed using option "clean install" and fps is back to 60+ at the moment. Will give it few hours and see.

Cool, it does take some time to see if it is going to play nice. If you get any pauses or stutters in a browser look for an option for 'hardware acceleration' and turn it off. It seems that flash player is also causing havoc with all the drivers post 314.22 :(

There were huge jumps from the latest driver sets so yes you should be good now.

Hopefully it'll stay like that. I'm glad you found the culprit.

    Hey Luis,

The latest Dell driver (327.xx) has been having issues with performance on the latest games. Can you report this to someone and have them change it? I've already addressed this issue with four people over the last 24 hours, and I think they believe using the driver Dell provides is best, but in this case, it's not.

    Thanks,
    J.Dre

Sure I can escalate those, what games and issues would you like to report specifically?

The one's I've addressed were all Battlefield 4, so far. New games have yet to be released. So, perhaps it will be an issue in other games, too. Also, for some reason, once this driver (327.xx) is installed, they can't update to 331.xx from NVIDIA - they have to rollback to 311.48 and then update to the latest. Not sure why...some have reported BSOD's.

Bioshock Infinite does not run at all with the new dell driver, it reverts exclusively to the integrated card. Even when forcing it to use dedicated in the control panel. However the newer driver form nvidia as well as dell's older one works fine. This driver posted has major problems.

I was able to do an update without rolling back FYI. So I think this driver is just full of unusual bugs.
