    Does anyone know where one could get the cable (the end that goes into the laptop)...
    I have a couple of working PSU's with chewed cables beyond repair and some more that just have the ID wire torn.

    Yeah that's the kind i need, but the power lines are too thin imo, the ones that 240W PSU's have are 2x as thick.

    Yes, more amps mean thicker gauge wires. You can always replace the plug itself and keep the existing cord and just cut it where it is frayed. These plugs are hard to find though. They are not a common size but I found a couple of links.

    Haven't tohught about that, also because the plug wouldn't have the status led...
    Might give it a shot anyway :) any chance of getting this in EU? :)
