So I recently re-did the windows install of my brother's M17XR3, using a the Win7DVD and not the Re-spawn (as his roommate wiped his main partition before i got it from him).

So after the windows 7 install and installing drivers from dell's site.

I downloaded the alien ware laptop commander software (to control lights i guess, and he said he uses it to disable the touch pad when he plugs in a mouse, etc etc).

The Alienware Laptop Commander was the LAST thing I installed on his laptop.
    .Windows 7
    .Chipset Drivers
    .Video Drivers.
    .IDT Audio Drvers
    .Periphial Drivers
.Windows Update (that took 12 hours, lol)
    .Windows 7 SP1
    .MS Office.
    .Updates to MS Office
    .Few Games
.Alienware Respawn (after Verifying the restore partition is intact).
.Rebooted a few times to ensure no updates needed install, shut down, powered up. everything is good, quick boot up to the desktop and everything is accessible within 5 seconds of seeing the desktop.

    .Installed Alienware Command Center Notebook
Rebooted, the Bios Screen came up, windows 7 loaded, entered password.
now all of a sudden it was taking 5 minutes to load startup items. (ReSpawn, Windows Sec. Essen., AlienFX, and lil device icons.).

The Last Items to Load are Alien Respawn (3 or so minutes after seeing the desktop) then AlienFX About 5 minutes after seeing the desktop.

until the AlienFX Icon Appears in the system tray and the eyes turn green, the system is barely responsive.

    Anyone else having this issue?
