I just extended the warranty for my M17x (last-year's refresh) another 3 years. The CSR was not able to find "Alienware" listed as a system, so she's put it as under Adamo. Is that ok?
Also, there was no 3 years option so she's done it as 2 + 1 for extended hardware warranty and 2 + 1 for complete cover.
My service tag is listed correctly in the quotation.

some how i don't think so you might want to talk to a manager. the Adamo is nothing like any Alienware.
i could see some major problems down the road if you need to have it fixed or replaced -
I looked through the money saving thread where people placed their orders and it looks like the warranties (with accident coverage added) for Alienware have "Inspiron" written in instead. I have had no notice of anything concerning Adamo however.
Can anyone confirm that it's supposed to say "Inspiron"? -
Personaly I believe as long as it has the correct service tag, you should be ok. I would double check by calling another rep, and if they don't know call a manager. If all else fails have the rep "note the account". Good luck and let us know how it go's

I also think that as long as you have the correct service tag you will be fine.

ok, the warranty status page ( Dell System Information / Dell Warranty Extensions & Upgrades / Dell Warranty Status) lists my service tag with the correct/extended warranty details.
Now, which is more expensive - the Adamo warranty or Inspiron?
