I just extended the warranty for my M17x (last-year's refresh) another 3 years. The CSR was not able to find "Alienware" listed as a system, so she's put it as under Adamo. Is that ok?

Also, there was no 3 years option so she's done it as 2 + 1 for extended hardware warranty and 2 + 1 for complete cover.

My service tag is listed correctly in the quotation.

some how i don't think so you might want to talk to a manager. the Adamo is nothing like any Alienware.
i could see some major problems down the road if you need to have it fixed or replaced

I looked through the money saving thread where people placed their orders and it looks like the warranties (with accident coverage added) for Alienware have "Inspiron" written in instead. I have had no notice of anything concerning Adamo however.

Can anyone confirm that it's supposed to say "Inspiron"?

Personaly I believe as long as it has the correct service tag, you should be ok. I would double check by calling another rep, and if they don't know call a manager. If all else fails have the rep "note the account". Good luck and let us know how it go's

I also think that as long as you have the correct service tag you will be fine.

It's fine. When you order your warranty initially, it's listed under the same part number as Inspiron.

    yes, it's supposed to.
