I have an Alienware M17x R2 that I'm trying to retore to factory settings using the "repair your computer" option during startup. Upon choosing that option I get the following error message:

I am away from home right now and do not have access to the restore discs and I am currently unable to boot into windows (however I can boot into safe mode). Is there anything I can do?

Something is goofy with your master boot record.

You will need to do a clean install probably. Here is how.
