Hello folks. I heard that the M17X RGB screen is actually matte underneath and the reason why screen is super reflective is because of the front glass bezel.
I talked to someone by the name of speedy gonzales who modified his screen to matte RGB just by cutting out glass in the bezel.
Two problems are is that it is very difficult to take out bezel in M17X R2 (it's not an easy snap on and off process) because it is glued on laptop and also don't know where to get the glass bezel laser cut.
If anyone can provide these services and do it for me for a reasonable offer, that would be great. I will pay shipping to get my item shipped to your area.
I was told that Akimox used to sell these precut M17X R2 bezels before. I pm'd him but haven't heard back from him yet.
If anyone can chime in that would be great. Here is the thread where the guy modified the glass.
