Alienware M17X R3 Help

Hello,

First I would like to apologize if this thread is a repeat, I am new to this forum and was unable to find a relevant thread.

I have a M17X R3 with everything stock except for the gtx 580M and the 1080p screen. Currently its running win764 with 285.79 beta drivers installed clean using DriverSweeper.

Overall the computer runs as expected. I am able to run BF3, Skyrim, Shogun 2, and Rage maxed out (or almost) at 60fps. No complaints here.

However my main game -SC2 - runs terribly for some reason.

There are two things that I cant seem to figure out.

1. If I run the game on any setting better then low (low everything) the game cannot sustain a stable framerate. From Med-Utra settings it just runs randomly between 10-60fps. The dips in fps dont relate to the action of the game either - just randomly lags sometimes.

2. When I play toss and I have a lot of warpgate during warp in my comp starts beeping and completely locks up. I read from bnet forums that it might be due to key repeat but changing that around did nothing.

I tried reinstalling everything - game, drivers, and even windows once.

Does anyone know what might help out?

Have you made sure your running off the "High Performance GPU" instead of the integrated chip?

The F7 key should fix things.

I have it set to run with the high power card. Ill check out that tread and report back.
