My friend has this laptop, and whenever he boots up normally in device manager the card says it was stopped (code 43) but when he boots in safe mode he doesn't see this error and appears to be normal, with geforce experience detecting the card and letting him go to "my rig", drivers, games, etc. Does anyone know how to make it so he can actually use the card again? I've tried reinstalling using DDU to uninstall, and reinstalling the OS when that failed. As of now he just plays off the integrated intel HD 3000 series graphics. Any ideas would be appreciated, this card is well out of warranty.
Thanks!

first extract the Nvidia driver folder somewhere on your drive...and then you could try and install the drivers through device manager right click on the card select search manually and direct the search to the correct folder you extracted then go to the display.drivers folder and select the correct inf. file... and it should work .,....hopefully
no promises ...any way good luck.

If a fresh OS and fresh drivers don't fix the problem, your GPU is probably dead.

Okay, was just hoping there was some miracle chance it wasn't though I came to this conclusion a while back. Figured I'd ask to make sure. Thanks for confirming.
