    Hi guys,

I've got this Alienware M17X R4 which isn't performing as I would expect and has the following specs:

    AMD Radeon HD 7970M
    i7-3630QM CPU 2.40GHz
    14 GB DDR3 PC3-12800
    1TB HHSD

First thing, my I/D GFX isn't working, so my laptop is always running on the dedicated card. Whilst on the dedicated card, for some reason, the battery won't charge (thing I discovered just yesterday, when I was able to change to the integrated one - FN + F7 - and the battery started charging). I remember that when I got the laptop, it ran on the integrated one and had the option to switch to the dedicated one when playing a certain game. Had a lot of issues with the switch from the start and now it's not working at all anymore. When switching to the integrated one with FN + F7, I can only run on that one. Don't have the option to activate the dedicated one whilst running an intensive game anymore.

Second, I think that the graphics card isn't performing as it should be. For example, Dota 2 on Ultra is running at 30-34 FPS and while searching for benchmarks on the internet, it seems that it should run on around 80 FPS.

I deleted my display driver and reinstalled the newest one from the AMD website, but still, nothing changed.

Anyone had similar problems? Would love your help with these issues.

    Thanks guys!
