    Hi everyone,

    Posting on behalf of a friend really that started getting some problems with his GTX260M and 7400M hybrid graphics on this M17X-R1...

    I read about problems with drivers and tried every step possible, however i'm pretty sure the graphics card is shot and the RAMDAC's are no longer viable lol. When disabling integrated and hybrid graphics in the bios, before even getting to windows the alienware logo appears broken and then a lovely screen of random hashes flashes before the windows boot animation, then the machine locks needs resetting. He can only get a display with his integrated graphics... new gfx card on the way... reckon it will do the job and see if the integrated+hybrid graphics will be succesfully disabled with a machine that boots to windows and uses the gtx260m!?

    EDIT: Wow just noticed my join date here and apparently its my first post! lol.

    I don't really get it...

    IGP+discrete = works?
    discrete only= freeze?
    IGP only = works?

    Something like that?
