Hi everyone, I bought a Razer Mamba gaming mouse the same day as I received my Alienware beast ,the problem i have is only the right click works nothing else when i boot up my laptop, so i have to reboot the comp to make it works or switch it from wire to wireless and most of the times the mouse won't response waking up from sleep (reboot again)!

I updated to every drivers and firmwares from the latest v 1.07 to v1.00 using latest firmware updater 1.13.

Yesterday I decided to swap for a logitech G9 mouse from my son (his laptop is a Dell Inspiron 9400) , guess what, he gave it back to me complaining the same thing happen to his inspiron 9400 !

If someone has the same problem and know how to fix it ,please help me.

This could be my first and last Razer product !

As your friend had the same problem, I think we can rule out your system as a cause to the problem. Most likely it is faulty hardware. Try to contact their international techs from web site.

I bought a Razer Lachensis a month ago and it was great for 3 weeks when it just stopped working as it should, buttons acting all weird. After some frustrating hours of trial and error with drivers and firmware, I still could not get it to work. I then contacted the tech support from their U_S web page and they were very quick with replying, and they diagnosed it as faulty hardware after some emailing.

However, the French reseller will not change it and demanded 3 weeks to "try and repair" it. Who repairs a mouse? Needless to say, I am going for another brand. My first and last buy from Razer. A shame really, as I always thought well of Razer products.

It's likely that your mouse is the culprit, especially since it has the same problems on different computers.

Razer mice tend to break quite often from regular use. It's rather flimsy hardware. I love Razer mice for their functionality (and also their cool look), but their typical lifespan is horrible. Thus I now use Logitech mice again, which appear to be a lot more robust. I've had at least 6 Razer mice, all of them broke one way or the other from regular use within months after purchase/warranty replacement, unfortunately.

Of course, there are likely people that never had a problem with their Razer mice, too.

I alternate between my razer and logitech performance mx. When I'm doing web surfing and other tasks I use my logitech. The razer is strictly for gaming. I agree they are quite flimsy, this is my 2nd mamba because the first one's plastic shell was making some clicking noise and I had to return it.

My mamba seems to be working fine, however I had to return the first one I bought, because the cable wouldn't go in the usb slot on the mouse. I love the mouse, but I think it could be 30-40 dollars cheaper if they didn't insist on using that elaborate packaging. I would return it, and get a new one. Or go with the death adder.

I love my Mamba. Use it daily, for basic computing as well as gaming. The only issue I have had, is the pairing button on the receiver pushed all the way in, which means if I ever have to pair them again, I could be in trouble, but the mouse itself works great. I have looked at the received to see if I can just open it up, and reset the button, but it appears that I will have to remove the plastic sticker off of the bottm to get at the screws. I enjoy my Mamba so much, I actually bought another Razer mouse, the Orochi, for travel, and they both perform great.

Odd, I've had my Mamba for about 4 months or so now and haven't had a single problem with it, and it's the only mouse I use. Granted 4 months is hardly enough time to determine the quality, but I agree with all the others that it must be a faulty mouse.

Alienware tactx & Logitech G9 look and feel very similar. You can control tactx lighting in alienfx and tactx is on sale.

Hi, here is the latest email from Razer.

Hello, Please try exchanging the product with the retailer / distributor directly. Retailers have been informed they should handle the customer RMA/Exchange process. Shipping logistics are handled by the local distributors, so going to the retailer will be the quickest and easiest way to obtain an exchange. Your customer number is XXXXXXXXX Please refer to case #:: XXXXXXXXX if you have any further questions. If you need further assistance, you can also reach us online at Razer Support. Please include all previous replies when/if responding to this message. Best Regards,Matthew A. at Razer Technical [email protected]

NO!.They said that the mouse should be send away to get fixed taking
    about 3 weeks !
Hopefully, they would exchange it this time ,when I walk in with the
    email from Razer.

I've had my Mamba for about 9months. I originally used it with the Area51 m17X and it was perfect. It works well with the M11X I have now and Okay with the M17X R2. Not sure why the performance decreased with the newer M17X but I'm thinking the lag has more to do with the mouse itself (drivers/software). It just stops responding for a second then it is back to perfect again. I need to keep an eye on processes and try to catch what's running when it happens.
I too updated the firmware and the drivers. When I get a chance to deal with the mouse issues I will check it thoroughly. I still love my Mamba though.
I have a logitec G9X and like it a lot but that stays with the desktop and it's not the G700 you're asking about.
