    Alienware M17x R1 - need your advice!

    Hi, guys!

    The story is that I can grab the old M17x (280M GTX SLI) for really sweet price. But I don't know is it will be a good choice? Previously I have DELL XPS M1730 (8800M GTX SLI) until my GPU died for two times... How about M17x with 280M GTX SLI? Is it stable? Any major hardware issues that I will meet and that DELL have not fixed yet?

    Same here. I just grabbed M17x R1 with 280m SLI.
    No issue with gpu. runs 50C idle about 65-70C load(only game i play is sc2).
    I really like the design of case.
    CPU in middle and gpu on seperate side.

    I would say if it's in like new condition and you don't mind not having the newest thing, then go for it. That seems like a pretty good price to me.
