    Anyone upgraded the RAM on the R2 ?
    I have 6GIG and i want to double it to 12 for longevity.
    Can you buy sn 8GIG stick and a 4GIG stick and plug em in so as long as they are the same channel ?
    Dell.com.au only offer 4GB sticks and I dont see much performace gain in adding onl 2GB extra ?

    Any advice on third party RAM for the M17x R2 would be good. Regards.

    Yes I ran my R2 with 8 + 4 for about 1 month before I jumped up to 8 + 8. I now have 2 x of these. Not had a BSOD yet.
