Hey just wanted to share after a very long search I found he perfect bag for my Alienware M17x R2. Took ages since it is so big, plus the obe from dell is terrible in relation to material/quality and price. In the end i got a Wenga aka Swiss Army knife makers. However I will share my list of ones I found and their prices.

    Wenger Pegasus
Swissgear GA-7306-06F00 Pegasus 17 Inch Laptop Bag: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

(Love this one btw but too much money for me)
EVERKI 95330-GB Titan Backpack for 18.4 inch Laptop
    €150 for : http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005LMWP78/

    Hmm may work: Targus 17 - 18 inch / 43.1cm - 45.7cm XL Laptop Backpack – TCB001EU | Targus Europe

This may be it on Amazon but not enough details: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Targus-XL-L...=1368578644&sr=8-8&keywords=Targus+laptop+bag

€117 - Amazon.com: Targus Demolition Backpack Designed to Fit up to 17.3-Inch Laptops TSB220US (Black): Computers & Accessories
    Targus Demolition 17.3

€70 for this one but they say it is very bad quality and seems to tear and break within a short space of time.
Alienware Orion Laptop Backpack - Fits Laptop of Screen Sizes Up to 17 inch (Black): Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

If you used the search function you would have saved yourself allot of time searching...
This topic has been done 10.000 times already...
The pegasus wont fit your R2, it will fit a "regular 17'3" laptop, the R2 is too high/thick

Save yourself money and time and buy the Swissgear IBEX

    You are welcome!

Um darling my R2 fits in it PERFECT! Just go to the amazon link and the customer pics are mine... You can easily see it fits in and I could easily put my other 17" in there.
Maybe cut the arrogance down a lil since I purchased the bag already and have been using it.

What is there to be arrogant about, I just stipulated that people that have low post counts just post rubbish and want other forum members to do all the work for them.

I used the feedback from another member in the original bag topic that he had to tear the top of the pouch to fit the R2, maybe you got lucky and the revised the bag, i dunno.

The fact that you percieve arrogance might be because you failed to see the constructive side of the post.

    On topic:
Please post your succesfull M17x R2 and pagasus findings in the bags topic so people that use the search function can see directly that it fits without problems and not have to filter all the seperate user bag threads.

If someone is searching for a normal laptop bag instead of a backpack (seems like everyone thinks it's a good idea to keep their expensive laptop on their back + looks ridiculous/stupid because those backpacks are too big). Take this one. It is GREAT, has quality written all over it, has enough space for everything you need yet keeps a slim form, very soft fur like material (shock absorber) for laptop compartment and last not least it has a very cool/business look. I would really recommend the Everki Lunar spend the extra money so you can be sure your bag has just as much quality as your laptop.

EDIT: The pictures on Amazon suck.

The reason why I do not like shoulder bags is for a few reasons:
    1. Easily stolen as they slip right off the shoulder. Also seen one stolen off a man, he had it crossed over his body and someone simply came up. Slipped a knife along the strap and off it came, they simply yanked it back and ran. The guy thought it had broke so he kind bent down and the person was just off and through the crowd.
    2. Had one which was on cross ways, I picked it up a lil to get it over a table (am short). As I did so the shoulder strap went down my shoulder a lil without me noticing so when I kinda let it go down again it just ... well went down and down. Smacked the floor and screen fked.
    3. Going through doors or people can result in it getting hit easily.
    4. Now this one is key since the M17X R2 weighs 5.3 kg (11.8 lb) it would be HELL on your shoulder and neck muscles. Having it cut in like that even with padding is just painful. Am talking if you have to do a lot of walking etc, which I do.
    5. Yes would be handy for doing short trips from car to office or something but if you are traveling and have a big bag like that you are not fighting for space. An when you are a woman with a handbag, backpack/laptop you need space for cloths. Tis a right pain if I have to take 3 bags!

valid points. I wouldn't want to travel that much with such a heavy laptop oO. I go on the train for 2 hours every weekend friday and sunday.
