    Alienware M17x R2 question

    There are a couple of good deals at the dell outlet for some M17X R2 laptops question is can you play games at 1280x1024 on the 1440x900 screen or would the 1920x1200 would be the only way to go... also running crossfire 5870's vs single 5870 is there a major performance gain. I am either getting one of the alienware's or the asus g73 just not sure which one..

    yes, you can play games at 1280 x 1024 on a 900p screen. But if you got the money to burn on a m17x, i would at least get the 1920x1200 RGB(is amazing) to get the best gaming experience.

    I would get the 5870 crossfire if you are a serious gamer.

    for a strictly gaming purpose I can get a good deal on a M17X R2 with and I5 520 or 540 with the 5870 single 4Gb ram would that still perform very well with games like BF BC2 COD Black ops etc..
