When i turn the laptop on, the lights come on and i can hear the fans but when i lean close to the laptop i can hear a popping noise after the fans sound like they are starting up and then they cut out and that's when i hear the popping sound. nothing comes up on the screen at all and it doesn't sound like the computer is booting at all. this occurred after i was in the bios and changed the display mode and now the laptop will not turn on at all apart from the lights. i have tried removing the CMOS battery and this still has not resolved the issue.
