    G'day Notebookers!

I realise this may be a fairly narrowed down subject, but my mates and I had a few questions about the power consumption of both the Alienware M17x R3/R2 and the Apple Macbook Pro 15". If anyone has any of, or close to these details, I'd love to hear your answer or thoughts on the subject!

The conditions are, just started up from a fresh format, and completely logged into the system and left to run for a period of time until everything is booted up. Also presuming both are using the latest operating systems and updates.

    Macbook Pro 15" Specs
    2.8Ghz i7
    8GB RAM
    512GB SSD
    NVIDIA GeForce GT330M 512MB GDDR3 Mem

    Alienware M17x R2 17" Specs
    2.13Ghz i7 940XM
    8GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM
    CrossFireX Dual 1GB GDDR5 HD5870
    512GB SSD

    Australian site specs.

We wanted to know the power consumption of both systems on idle, standby, full consumption, and estimated power cost for these 3 operating circumstances.

I will be posting the same thread in the Apple section.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can shed any light on this subject, or even provide information I haven't stated as I wrote this in a hurry.
