    Hi all,

Just got a random question really...

The last few weeks me machines started to play silly games with me. When im watching a movie or video with either VLC or Windows Media Player (or Classic & Centre), it occasionally cuts out, goes into standby mode for between 5 and 60 seconds, then switches itself back on to the lock screen, whilst playing the video in the background still.

Anyone else experiencing this and have any idea how to stop it as its pretty irritating.

    Cheers

Assuming by the lack of replies that no-one else has any experience of this?!

The only thing I can think of is that maybe the GPU is overheating.... I could be wrong though

Have you tried checking the temperatures while gaming?

If you actually read the post its not when gaming, its when watching videos
(Dell customer service fantastic and helpful as always there - still owed £11 for a phone call I shouldn't have needed to make due to your DREADFUL premium rate numbers for everything too!)
