    Hi,

My CPU fan is now making noise will i'm surfing on internet since i've reset my bios setup and install my intel hd graphic card.
Before that, i had my intel hd graphic card disable in the bios, i was just running on the NV card but i don't remember how i've done that (and at this time the cpu fan was really silent).

So if anyone, can solve my cpu fan noise while i'm surfing or being on the desktop by explaining me how i can disable this card on the bios or if it is possible in an other way, i will appreciate !

    Thanks !

Well you can disable your integrated card by using your switchable graphics key...I can't remember which F key that is ? It should be F5 I think? The system will ask for a reboot and then restart using only the dedicated card. The other cause could also be dirty or plugged exhaust ports on the laptop. Your best bet is to open the bottom and try a can of compressed air to blow out the vents and clear out the vents or fans. The best way to clean them is to remove the fans and heatsinks from the computer but this will also require a repaste of the CPU and GPU , but if your comfortable with that then that would be the best way to handle it.

What are your CPU temps when the fan is running? Usually the fan is only going to be running at that volume if it is tying to keep the temps on the CPU at an acceptable level. If your CPU is clean and the system is running optimally then you shouldn't even hear the fans if the CPU isn't under load. My R4 was far quieter then my new 17 is.

I want to disable it in the bios, not via the switch system. The temp of the cpu is near 60°C idle.

I don't think the cause if from the state of my heatsink or what, i think it's from this ty system of gc+integrated gc. Because the noise have start when i've making the intel gc in the bios activated again.

    But i will see...

I don't think there is a BIOS switch with out unlocking the BIOS....using switchable graphics IS the way to disable the iGPU. I would be shocked if your iGPU was running at the same time as your dedicated GPU but if your worried about it then try reflashing again with the latest BIOS. I would think that if the iGPU and dedicated card were even capable of running at the same time you would be having all sorts of other issues like games having a hissy fit about which GPU to use.

Umghh, I think its with the hardware acceleration... Also what are the CPU temps? I think the only reason your fans are spinning up is due to hardware acceleration of webpages using Intel GPU which is located on the CPU...

I think u get the point, how can i force the hardware acceleration to use ONLY my nv graphic card and my CPU (not the itnegrated graphic card) ?

Problem with Divinity original sin... And not on the evil within or AC : Unity or Dragon Age Inquisition. Some games have trouble with discret graphic card.

So, someone can give me a trick or a Bios to desactivate the Intel Card IN the BIOS options please ?

Or do i have to make a downgrade of my bios version and how ? Please let me know...

You can switch your GPU's using the FN +F7 switch.. It will make sure that your NVIDIA GPU is used all the time that way... Press that once again and you'll have Optimus mode with both GPU's being used (well dynamic switching)..

With the switch i can just make active my GTX or my Intel HD graphic card, that's all. I just need an Unlocked bios to disable it in the bios but i can't find an A12 unlocked bios...
