    Hey guys
I have an alienware m17x r4 and i started getting a lot of blue screen errors randomly a while back. And then a month back the screen stopped turning on and only the keyboard backlight turns on when switching on the computer. So I took it to my local dell service centre (I'm in India Btw) and those guys took the laptop. They called up and said a few days later that the GPU had failed and that they would try to get a new GPU. Then a month later, they said there was no m17x compatible GPU in India and then they returned it. Anybody know a fix to this problem of fixing the GPU somehow or can anyone link me 10 a site which sells an M17X compatible GPU in India? All I know is i have 3000$ paperweight with me right now and if I try to sell it, the highest offer I got was 10k rupees which roughly translates 10 150 $ lol.
Your help will be highly aprreciated :)

Well is it not under warranty? You said you did send it to a dell center? Either way you might have to find one on ebay

No it isn't. I took it to them. They said they'll try sourcing a gpu but couldn't find it. The reason I'm scared to buy it from eBay is I'm not really sure about it as I've never bought anything off eBay before so if anyone could give me a link to a gpu from a genuine seller, that would be helpful

Simply reference their ebay rating and overall sales. if they have +1000 sales and have a 99% rating its fair to say they are reputable.

If I am not mistaken, Dell provides 1 to 1 exchange for products which have equivalent values. I did this once with my dell XPS and was offered a refurb of the latest version. Not sure if they still provide this service or not. It usually applies to parts that are already too old (yours in this case). Good luck with that!

You could try that, but you would need a warranty and the help of your DELL Service Center.
