    Hello all!

I successfully upgraded my GPU to a 780m a couple of days ago. I did notice that when I push down on this area above the keyboard, the screen will shut off while running on the dedicated GPU. When I push down, the screen goes dark, when I release, it opens back up.

The thermal pads I used were a little thick but I made sure that everything was secure. Any input is welcomed

You could be pressing the LVDS cable causing the screen to disconnect. Have you tried opening and looking in there to see if there is any loose/broken cable?

Mr. Porras is perfectly correct. That is exactly what it is. Your cable of the LCD is not completely inserted. I would avoid pressing on it and opening it immediately to have it secured in. Be very careful when you put the connector back and do not apply too much pressure. You may end up with a dead screen if you ignore it and delay it...
