Hello there everyone, I've had my Alienware M17x R4 for more than 6 months and i love it so far. My problem is when watching full screen videos, there's a white line at the bottom of the screen that almost always shows up. I've updated my bios, drivers and everything else but the problem still persist. Any advice?

I can barely see it but I do see it haha. Does it happen on an external monitor as well?

It might be the LCD then, if you require a part replacement send us an e-mail to [email protected] and we'll make sure we help you the best we can.

Thank you very much. I called Alienware technical support and they will be sending out a new LCD.

So the technician came by and brought the new LCD and replaced it, but unfortunately he couldn't get the screen to adjust to the cover and ended up breaking a lot of the pegs of the back cover. He said he would have to call and order a new back, he pretty much left my Alienware with the screen sort of popping out. One can clearly tell the screen is not positioned correctly to the back cover. I'm very frustrated at this point. Any advice?

I had the same thing happen to me when I had to get my screen replaced. See what happens the second time.

In my case it was fully fixed the the second time, although there were two very small blemishes on the cover, but wasnt worth calling.

If it doesn't get solved a second time, get a hold of a rep.

I too noticed a blemish on the cover below the screen and unfortunately, I have this sort of OCD that must have everything perfect or it really stresses me out :/ lol
I'll wait and see how the second time goes.
