Have you tried running ThrottleStop yet? Run it with the Log File option checked and you might find that you have a Clock Modulation throttling issue. When gaming, the log file should show both types of clock modulation at 100.0% in the log file. If either of these ever drop below that value, that's throttling. It's a very common issue with this model and can be significantly improved by using ThrottleStop. Make sure your laptop does not get too hot when running ThrottleStop to correct this problem.

If you got it from Dell, or the warranty has been registered to you, they will send an engineer to replace the heatsink (along with new pads and paste) - if you're having to pay anything ;)

They know about this issue so it shouldn't be a long fault-finding session :D
