Hello guys, first of all I wanna say sorry if my english not good enough to make you guys understand what I mention here. So if you have any misunderstand please leave me a comment I will try to explain these things.
I have an Alienware M17x R3 which replaced the discrete graphics card HD7970M instead of GTX 460M (or 480M I don't remember exactly) and it's installed windowns 7 home premium. Because of the performance too weak when I try to play Dota 2 with Switchable Graphics so I disable the internal graphics card (HD3000) and just using the PCI express card.
I used for HD7970M is the newest catalyst control center. And the problem had started since I use only the HD7970M and install the newest catalyst. That is when I press the power buttom. The blacklight brightness is normal but when it reach to the "welcome" screen of windows, the backlight brightness is decrease (be darker than at the beginning time), althought all of bright adjustments were set at highest (100%, in the power manager and everywhere I can set). I don't know what happen and don't know how to fix this issue. Maybe the reason is from the newest cataylyst?
I also test this problem in the safe mode and the brightness doesn't change when it boot into Safe Mode.
Can you guys help me how to fix this issue?

It is a known issue for having a 7970m with a m17x r3. It is fixed on Windows 8 but a driver issue on windows 7 but there is a work around. Click the link below.
