    Hi all,

I have been reading on the installation of the 6970 in crossfire for the M17xR2. I currently have one ATI 5870 installed in my laptop OEM. I would like to complete this upgrade, but I need the slave heat sink, crossfire cable and slave fan in order to do so. Can someone please provide me a retailer or dell part number that I may order them? I have tried ebay already with no success. Thanks in advance for your help!

Don't Buy anything until other experienced members confirm i don't want to mislead you.also why not wait for someone to test the HD7970m in the R2 it will be a better upgrade table21 got the hd7970m running in his m15x.

Thanks Fatal for the help! The reason I didn't consider the heat sink one that would work is due to the 280M, 260M etc. It didn't state 5870M card, but it does look like it will work. Could someone please confirm this heat sink will fit the 6970? I would like to do the 7970's but it would probably be cheaper to do the 6970's and I am not really sure how to do a PSU mod. The install on the video cards I can do, but not sure how peeps are doing the PSU mod. I have asked in the guide on some clarification on this but no response yet. Thanks again!

i talked with dell reps he me told that RVXV is the part number for the heatsink you can get it for 26 usd from them i see no reason to buy from ebay since its more expensive.just chat with them and tell them which part you want.
