    .......absolutely not....not the same socket, not the same chipset, just no.

    best you can do is 2920XM or 2960XM.

    Hey, thanks for the info. If I would swap the CPU's would it work automatically or would I need to do some "tweaking"?
    I'm asking myself if it's worth the 390$...I don't play much of the new games. Currently I'm more into BF2 AIX/POV, Thief etc. Otherwise a little bit of audio & video editing.

    no tweak required, just install. use xtu to overclock.
