I tried to upgrade my M17xR3 with a 860M (my 580M died 2 weeks ago). i followed an old post :
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...3-graphics-card-upgrade-nvidia-580m-870m.html

    i did those steps:
    -flash bios with A12 unlock
-change Primary Display from SG to PEG
-turn IGD from Enabled to Disabled

After this i installed the new card (860M).

But i have problems at this step. On windows 7, the card is being recognized as standard vga. So i took the id device and downloaded drivers and .inf from laptopvideo2go.
After the installation (but its working randomly), the card is being recognized as 860M! BUT, and that's what he is making me mad, after the necessary reboot for a nvidia installation, the card is no more in the device manager, not even as a VGA card.
So each time i try this, i have to uninstall nvidia drivers and after reboot, the VGA card is back to business...

I'm sure i'm near of the goal but there is something going bad with the drivers.

If someone could help me, i would highly appreciate!

Edit: sorry for my english, i hope i am enough clear.

Press F8 before windows load and select "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement", Install drivers > Restart > Press F8 before windows loads > "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement".

    It should work after that.

That's the problem.. This is an unofficial mod so you'll need to do this before installing drivers...
