    Hi,
    I am owner of a Alienware M17xR4 (2012).
    I bought 3 weeks ago a new SSD Samsung 860QVO 4TB.
My Alienware see it on BIOS but when i try to install Windows 10 (build 1909) 18.363.720 then doesn't recognize it as a 4TB but as a 2TB.
Then it let me to Partition in 2TB and doesn't let me to partition the other 2TB.
So I bought a 4TB SSD and I can use only the 2TB SSD.
How can i fix this problem?
Is it anyone else who have the same problem with me?

NTFS doesnt allow me to do it as a GPT.
And even if i do it as a secondary disk then it doesn't see it on the beginning so to install Windows.

Are there any firmware updates or drivers for the SSD?

    Might give this a try.
Remove the 4tb and install windows on a different disk.
Install your 4tb disk in laptop in a different slot and format it from windows(using correct parameters like GPT etc).
    Make sure it shows 4tb.
Now clone(maybe use cloning software for format also?) your current install to the 4tb from windows.
Now remove the old disk and make your 4tb a boot disk.
    Hoping this works.

I would suggest you enable UEFI only in BIOS, then try and run win10 setup again as normal? or I can offer to buy your SSD from you if you no longer have an option returning it? ;)

UEFI mode non legacy, MBR to GPT most AW m17x r4 were win 7 and had to be updated to except free upgrade to Win 10, GPT is also required for disks larger than two terabytes (TB). may need to convert MBR to GPT or do clean install - many articles on converting MBR to GPT or clean install win 10 using UEFI and GPT.

Right click Windows Start menu and choose Settings. On the Settings window, scroll down to find and click Update & security. Switch to the Recovery tab and click on Restart now under Advanced startup. Select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > UEFI Firmware Settings
