Are there any Alienware resellers that can config a M17xR3? I like the M17xR3 but DELL's config does not offer it with the 500GB Momentus XT hybrid SSD which rlly pisses me off. The price is good from DELL, but I'm too lazy to crack open the case take out the old SSD, install the Momentus XT, then install Windows, etc. again.

thanks...problem is my config turned out to be $2,574.00 from HIDevolution.

From DELL it's $2134 with a coupon a 15% diso, and including me buying a Momentus XT.

Then just buy the Momentus XT separately and spend a few hours one day doing a clean install. I would do a clean install even if I was not changing hard drives, just to get rid of the extra junk Dell puts on your computer. After seeing the how bloated up with junk my hard drive was before I did a clean install and how it is now, I would not hesitate to do one even if it took more time than I would like to spend.

You can create the recovery media then install a MomentusXT drive yourself or clone your current drive onto the MomentusXT and resize the partitions.

Wouldn't guarantee clone fresh install is safer. I cloned my Vertex 3 drive on my lenovo laptop so I could test it before getting the alienware and it (very quickly!) tells me it could not find windows... the hardware may have changed.
