I'm in Canada and alienware has no sales phone number to call, only the chat. When I connect to chat, the biggest discount they offer is 2%. I've asked some reps to call me and they have then they start telling me I can't get any discounts beyond the student discout. Then I ask more reps to call me when I connect to them and they deny having phones and say they can't call only chat.

I've had reps tell me they will call me and they never end up calling me.

All I'm trying to do is get 2 years of warranty for free from them. The most they've budged was $40 off my total order.

Any tips? I'm not sure if the Canadian one is much different than the American one.

I just was on the chat as well and got the 2% b.s. as well. I already had a 17% coupon from college though.

Did you use the $150 coupon?

Beyond that, no, Canadian Dell sucks. You won't get any really good discounts. No free warranty, nada.

If you want an extended warranty though, certain credit cards provide a benefit where they extend the manufacturer's warranty by one year. So if you pay with that credit card, you'll effectively get 2 years warranty for the price of one.

I had a little success so far. The person I talked ot yesterday offered me 4% off and I said I want to talk to her manager and she booked a call for today with him. So I'm going to try to talk to him if I can get something good.

Little luck using the coupon? Just add it in your cart.
